((OOC: Ghaaa I have no muse, but I wanna start a thread :P))

That wretched sun beat down on the soil in the peak of the day. Summer's sun, the hottest time of the year, stuffy and irritable heat. It was all a relief to the fiery Phoenix, who in the open sunlight depicted a blaze of fire burning it's path through the valley. He was not an actual element of fire though it could take a few double takes to realize. He found no benefit from the heat and essentially it was not a relief. The relief came in knowing that this place was much cooler than the home he was so use to living in. It was in this forest that moisture was aloud to collect. In the desert there was no moisture in the soil, just stagnant air. The dry desert air is incapable of blocking sunlight during the day, leaving the full force of heat. He imagined that the local wolves knew nothing of what true heat meant.

He however was a stranger in a strange land, everything here was new to him. So much grass and green, his eyes could not help straying all around. All the earth tones were replaced with forest tones. A single blade of grass seemed to have more life in it than a hundred miles of desert. With another step he was surprised by a white butterfly which he’d disturbed from it’s daily setting. The small insect flew just in front of his face, hypnotizing the brute such as a pup would have been upon seeing it’s first butterfly. “Do you speak?” he asked to no response. With a few more steps he found himself in a burst of butterflies. Each of a slightly different color all flying around him in a frenzy. As the crowd slowly dissipated around him, he realized that he'd seen more living things in that single moment than he’d seen in his entire life.
