As evening fell across the pale blue sky, stars began to appear against the swirls of colourful patterns. The sun had now nearly completely sunk from view and the moon continued to rise higher and stronger in sight.
On the ground the reflection of the sky could be faintly seen on the surface of the gentle stream, by which a wolf could be seen. She had a slender figure and lay with her dark amber eyes watching the water. Her fur was coloured brown, though her underside was white and parts on her back were black.
Currently the young wolf sat in silence as she listened to the world around her and enjoying the calmness of the lands. Her lands, for she was the alphess of the Terra Pack.
Taerahd was content to be alone for now, unlike in her old pack were constantly someone would have been around. However, she couldn't help but wonder where her mate was, she hadn't seen him since late morning, early afternoon. She knew he would be fine, but she wondered what had occupied him for so long without letting her know. She trusted him entirely though and would simply wait for his explanation, and she expected soon that he would join her to watch the remainder of the day fade as the night begun.

(((OOC: sorry my reply took so long, and this post was so crappy)))

Slowly the large, coal black brute approached his mate. Padding up to her and gently nuzzling her neck, he could tell that she had missed him. Sonne's golden orbs shimmered in the sunlight, as he tried to determine where to begin. It seemed like so much had happened since he last saw her, even though it was only hours ago.

Sorry dear, I was walking the border of our lands and i caught sight of two intruders. They were hunting elk on our land, and as a result the herd was fleeing our reaches. They were however, no challenge. The two put up a fight at first, but fled when the ground began to shake.

He plopped to the frozen ground beneath him and looked up at his mate. The two seemed oddly matched, but they loved and trusted each other none-the-less. Her brown and white pelt waved softly in the growing breeze. Sonne's tail began to whip back and forth happily as the realization that he was once again alongside his mate reached him. His mind had been racing so wildly with hordes of mangled thoughts, that he was left in a sort of daze. Now completely back in reality, he shook his head and awaited a reply from his mate.

((Don't worry, and my reply isn't exactly great either))

A slight smile formed on her muzzle as Taehrad felt her mate join her, and she nuzzled him back in response.
"It's fine" She stated simply, tail wagging lightly, happy now to be in Sonne's company once more. "At least you're alright"
With that, Taerahd lay down and moved closer to Sonne's side, her head resting on her paws.
"Anything else interesting happen to you whilst you were gone?" She asked, eyes still watching the water.

Sonne brushed playfully alongside his mate, and happiness began to overtake him. Yes i am indeed just fine. he chuckled. Sonne circled around in front of the fae preparing for a little skit of sorts.

Well there was one thing... though it's not very interesting. So i was walking along, (Sonne began acting out each action as he described it) and i thought i heard some kind of singing. Not like a bird chirps (mimicks chirping bird) but kind of like a wolven howl. Only it was high pitched. (makes a screeching sound) Then suddenly a giant bird swooped down and tried to grab me, but i jumped out of the way just in time! (jumps sideways and rolls) Then it came back and i went like this!

Suddenly he lept in the air towards Taehrad, almost startling himself in the process. He was closing fast on his mate, attempting a loving playfull pounce.

Taerahd watched and listened as her mate as he acted out his of earlier happenings, a smile formed across her muzzle. 'Maybe he's trying to make the story more interesting' She thought to herself, though at the giant bird part, she began to think maybe he was exaggerating a bit.
She was surprised as Sonne dived at her, and she had little time to react. She wasn't afraid though, knowing that Sonne was only playing; he'd never hurt her, and she'd never hurt him, they loved each other too much for that.
"Except I think the last part of that story is wrong" She said wriggling free and looking at her mate. "For I wasn't there, and I'm sure this giant bird would not then have done this!" And she leapt at her mate in return, lightly nipping his ear.

Sonne chuckled as he rolled wildly, trying to escape his mate. He loved her sense of humor, and of course the fact that she tolerated his. Yes, i guess i forgot that part, He said finally rolling free. But then I got back by doing this!

He jumped and rolled under his standing mate and lifted his nose into her belly. He knew this was the Fae's only real weakness, her ticklish belly. He wiggled his nose in her fur right underneath her right front leg. Take that you giant bird! Sonne barked playfully

Standing in a playful stance, Taerahd's tail wagged happily as she watched her mate struggle away from her relation. She stood up straighter, which she soon realized had been a mistake as Sonne rolled again and begun to tickle her.
With a laugh, Taerahd collapsed and rolled, landing beside her mate on the ground.

Sonne lay on his back, parallel to his alphess. Smiling, he nuzzled her softly. He lived for moments like these, and it sadened him to know they would not last for much longer. With the war coming, these moments would all but dissapear.

So what about you my dear? How has your day been? Good i hope, a fae as wonderful as you deserves nothing less. Sonne's heart warmed as he gazed deeply into Taerahd's orbs, seeing the love in her heart.

Taerahd smiled as he spoke and she listened to his words and looking back into Sonne's eyes also.
"Nothing interesting, that means no trespassers or giant birds" She teased and she nuzzled her mate in return. "A fairly boring day really, sorry to disappoint you."
Rolling over onto her side, she moved closer to Sonne and nuzzled him again before she spoke once more.
"But you being here has brightened it back up again"

Really? Well I am sorry to here that. There is one thing you have got mixed up though. The day has not gotten brighter because of my presence, it is because you are here. Sonne smiled as he spoke. He could not come up with such heart felt words very often, in fact he was often left speechless.

Sonne sighed heavily and flopped to the ground. His tassle wagged happily as he placed his head on his paws. The warm, life giving sun reflected off of his golden orbs.

What were he and Taerahd supposed to do? The other packs ranks were filling rapidly, and they were only a few. How could they stop the destruction brought about by the dark packs?

These questions would be answered, but as of right now, Sonne and his mate would bask in the limited peace. What now my dear? Sonne asked, poking his mate's stomache with his cold nose.

"It's fine. Though maybe we're both mixed up, maybe it's simply because we're together" Taerahd responded with a smile at Sonne's words and the happiness that she felt inside. She nuzzled the black male and then lay down close beside him with her head beside his.
Looking out of the corner of her eyes, she listened as Sonne began to speak again and as he finished she looked back out across the lands before them.
"All we can do" She paused, the dark amber eyes still staring out to the endless lands. "Wait" She too realized that the other packs were growing faster than theirs, but all they could do was hope for the best. She knew also, that no matter what, they had each other.

Sonne scanned the landscape, and his ears twitched as he listened for movement. He smiled as his mate spoke. He loved to hear her voice, it had always had a great calming effect on him. He leaned softly into his mate, nuzzling her.

Yes, i suppose you are right my dear. And so we wait...

Waiting was not Sonne's strong point, however with Taerahd by his side that all changed. He loved every moment that he had with her. And knew he had to cherish the moments as they came.

She gave a soft nod of her head she remained silent as she stared out almost in a daze as she watched the skies and the lands, though still listening for any sound.
No sound met her ears, though as the last rays of sunlight began to fall away, Taerahd felt her eyes growing heavy and she shifted slightly, absentmindedly making herself more comfortable.
Pressing herself slightly closer to Sonne for warmth, the alpha soon found herself quite cozy and begining to drift off into a light sleep.
